Medical AssistantTryfacta is seeking a Medical Assistant for our client in Los Angeles, CA 90048. This is a 13 week contract assignment. If you meet the qualifications listed below and are interested, please Apply Now!Position Title: Medical AssistantLocation: Los Angeles, CA 90048Duration: 13 weeksWork Schedule: Day 5x8-Hour (06:00 - 18:00)Pay rate: $30.00 - $38.00 /hrResponsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:Room and prepare adult patients for OBGYN visits and procedures.Obtain and document vital signs, height/weight, medical history, medications, and allergies.Assist providers with OBGYN examinations and procedures.Perform venipuncture and collect, label, and process blood and other specimens.Perform urine dipstick/urinalysis and blood glucose testing as required.Assist with and prepare patients for procedures including Pap smears, colposcopy, LEEP, D&C, EMB, IUD insertions/removals, Nexplanon, and NST.Administer injections and immunizations as directed.Conduct follow-up calls and assist with telephone triage.Review and communicate laboratory results as directed by clinical staff.Address patient, physician, and staff concerns and escalate issues appropriately.Assist with quality assurance activities and equipment QC documentation.Participate in daily huddles, staff meetings, and workflow improvement initiatives.Maintain accurate documentation in Epic.Follow infection prevention standards, department policies, and patient confidentiality requirements.Float to other CSMN OBGYN locations, including Beverly Hills, Los Feliz, and Playa Vista, as needed.Requirements:Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience in an outpatient clinic setting.At least 1 year of recent OBGYN clinic experience — REQUIREDMedical Assistant diploma from a DAPIP-accredited programEpic experience — REQUIRED.Hands-on venipuncture/blood draw experience — REQUIREDExperience with OBGYN procedures including: Pap smears, colposcopy, LEEP, D&C, EMB, IUD insertion and removal, Nexplanon, NSTBLS certification — AHA or ARC only.High school diploma or GED.Strong patient communication and customer-service skills.Ability to work in an adult outpatient OBGYN clinic and support multiple providers.Must be flexible and willing to float to other assigned CSMN locations.Tryfacta is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
