Medical Assistant – Primary Care (Part-Time)Location: Inwood, NYSchedule: Part-Time – Monday 8am–5pm, Tuesday 8am–6pm, Thursday 8am–5pmPay: $21–$24 per hourMedStaff Group is recruiting a dependable Medical Assistant for a well-established primary care practice in Inwood, NY (Long Island). This is a part-time, three-day-a-week role supporting a Physician Assistant, with steady daytime hours and no evenings or weekends.The Medical Assistant will keep the provider's schedule running smoothly, prepare patients for their visits, and provide a professional and welcoming patient experience.ResponsibilitiesRoom patients, take vital signs, and update medical history and medication lists in the EHR.Prepare patients for exams and assist the provider during visits and in-office procedures.Perform EKGs, venipuncture, injections, and point-of-care testing.Process referrals, prior authorizations, lab orders, and results follow-up.Maintain clean, stocked, and organized exam rooms.Follow HIPAA, OSHA, and infection-control requirements.Support the front desk with check-in, scheduling, and phones as needed.QualificationsMedical Assistant certificate or diploma.At least one year of medical office experience.Phlebotomy and EKG skills.Comfortable working in an electronic health record.Strong communication, organization, and patient-service skills.Reliable, punctual, and professional.Preferred QualificationsCCMA, CMA, or RMA certification.Primary care experience.Current BLS/CPR certification.Compensation: $21–$24 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
