Medical Assistant PositionShift Details: 0 budgeted hours/PRN. This position is for our Float Pool in the Logan area. Clinic hours will depend on where caregiver picks up a shift. Generally, the hours are from 7:00am-5:00pm.Unit/Location: Logan Regional/Budge Clinic/Bear RiverAdditional Details: Caregivers selected for this role will pick up open shifts as they are available to provide coverage for other caregivers or clinics experiencing high volumes. Minimum of 1 day a week but could work up to 40 hours a week if they wanted to. Attention to detail and follow-through are key components in helping to provide the care that is needed.Minimum Qualifications:Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program (certification must be provided upon hire)Or at least one year of Medical Assistant experience (verified upon hire)Or current RN/LPN license to practice nursing in the stateCurrent Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers. Must be obtained prior to start dateDemonstrated basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry.Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively with patients and fellow caregivers to deliver the highest level of customer/patient satisfaction.Ability to protect privacy, confidentiality, and Protected Health Information (PHI) of patients, members, and caregivers.Utah Only: If certified with less than one year of MA experience, caregivers may attend a yearlong MA residency program.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in an outpatient clinic or other healthcare setting.Computer literacy in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and other relevant software.Current national MA certification from one of the following national MA certifications or registrations: Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) of AMT, National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) of the AAMAPhysical Requirements:Location: Budge Clinic, Intermountain Health Logan Regional HospitalWork City: LoganWork State: UtahScheduled Weekly Hours: 0The hourly range for this position is listed below.
