Medical AssistantResponsible for setting up the patient in the exam roomPerform and Document:Vital signs (manual BPs)EKGsReconciliation of medicationsReason for visit, health care concernInterview/Discuss with patient changes in patient's health since last visitAssist the provider with minor surgical proceduresPrepare appropriate medications for injectionsResponsible for phone messages, faxes, and Medical Reception responsibilities as neededExperience Required:3 years' experience as a medical assistant or nursing assistant in a hospital or clinic setting preferred.Phlebotomy experience required.Performance of EKG required.Education Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalent, requiredCertificate of graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assistants preferred.License/Certification Requirements:Certified Medical AssistantBLS Certification
