Sentara Cardiology Specialists is seeking a Medical Assistant - non-certified in Charlottesville, VA!
Job Summary
Monday through Friday / 40 hrs a week from 7:45a to 4:45p
Occasional float as needed
Overview
The Medical Assistant performs patient care and administrative and clerical related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

Experience
One year of clinical/administrative experience required
Phlebotomy experience preferred
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Certification/Licensure
Certification must be received within (9) nine months of employment in one of the following certification programs:
CCMA- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant or
CMA- Certified Medical Assistant or
RMA- Registered Medical Assistant or
EMT- Emergency Medical Technician
BLS is required within 90 days of hire.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $20.31 - $29.92 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
