Medical Assistant SrJoin our team as a day shift, full-time, Medical Assistant Sr, at INTEGRIS HEALTH Medical Group Metro Float Pool Outpatient Clinic, in Oklahoma City, OK.Get to Know Your Team:INTEGRIS Health, Oklahoma's largest not-for-profit health system, is seeking a dedicated caregiver to join us in our mission to partner with people to live healthier lives.Benefits of being an INTEGRIS Health caregiver include front-loaded PTO, medical benefits through the extensive INTEGRIS Health network, financial assistance for continued education, 24/7 mental health support and more.Take the first step toward growing your career by joining us.QualificationsJob Requirements:3 years as a Clinic Medical Assistant in an ambulatory settingCurrent nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification or registration3 years of direct customer service experienceCPR or BLS certification within 90 days of employmentMust be able to communicate effectively in English (Verbal/Written)SKILLS:•Demonstration of core competencies will be completed within 90 days •Validation of competency in medication and administrationINTEGRIS Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All applicants will receive consideration regardless of membership in any protected status as defined by applicable state or federal law, including protected veteran or disability status.ResponsibilitiesActs as a mentor to new entry-level Medical Assistants and assists with orientation and development of new staff. Provides direct patient care and serves as a liaison between provider and patient. Performs vitals, patient history, venipuncture, lab, x-ray, referrals, and patient phone messages as directed by the provider and/or clinical supervisor.The Medical Assistant Senior responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Instructs the patient/caregiver in signs/symptoms of complications and home management related to disease process as per plan of care.Documents patient status accurately and timely using EMR.Reviews charts to ensure accuracy after each visit.Reports any suspected abuse and refers patient/family to appropriate health or social resource.Performs Venipuncture, EKG, Waived Testing, Bone Density, X-Ray, and other procedures as assigned by the physician, manager or clinical supervisor.Sterilizes equipment after a procedure is performed.Manages large call volume while maintaining excellent telephone etiquetteGathers and documents information about patient's condition, which include lab values, pain levels, patient education needs, nutritional status and potential complications.Participates in the orientation and skilled development of new staff as assigned.About UsGet to Know Your TeamINTEGRIS Health, Oklahoma's largest not-for-profit health system, is seeking a dedicated caregiver to join us in our mission to partner with people to live healthier lives.Benefits of being an INTEGRIS Health caregiver include front-loaded PTO, medical benefits through the extensive INTEGRIS Health network, financial assistance for continued education, 24/7 mental health support and more.Take the first step toward growing your career by joining us.
