Medical Assistant, Certified (or Certified Eligible)Responsible To: Clinic ManagerResponsible For: Assisting Physician Ambulatory Aesthetic Clinic/Patient CareOvertime Status: Non-ExemptJob Summary: Seeking full time certified medical assistant for very busy ambulatory clinic to support 1- Plastics and 3- Oculo-Facial Plastic Surgeons in Tacoma with two satellite locations (one day per week each) in Puyallup and Federal Way. The position is 32 to 40 hours per week with an option for paid overtime during infrequent busy periods. Our clinic hours are M-F 8-5, we are closed all weekends, evenings and holidays. We offer a positive and family oriented work culture and a generous benefit package.We Aspire to be the best at what we do and are looking for team members who will embrace and share our core values in every relationship and every transaction:A AccountabilityS SelflessnessP PassionI IntegrityR RespectE EmpathyPrimary Tasks and Responsibilities:Medical HistoryPrepare Patients for exams/proceduresAssist physician during exams/proceduresReview and document medications and other pertinent information in the medical recordDraw medications and give injections under physician supervisionPrepare refillsRemove Sutures/BandagesManage patient phone calls/messagesFollow safety and regulatory requirementsMaintain required logsClean and stock roomsOther duties as assignedEducation Requirements:High School Diploma requiredMedical Assistant Certification from a program accredited by American Association of Medical Assistants or American Medical Technologists (or Certified eligible).Experience Requirements:Prefer at least 1 year health care experience but not requiredPerformance Requirements:Computer proficiencyKnowledge:Familiarity with HIPAA regulationsKnowledge of Medical Terminology
