As our family expands, we live and work by our core values: integrity, excellence, trust, caring, tradition, and innovation.LOCATION: This position is based in our Tinley Park & Lemont offices as the Medical Assistant travels daily to the office where the physician sees patients; local travel may be required to other locations within your assigned geographic region.REPORTS TO: Practice Operations ManagerPOSITION SUMMARYWe are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the physician to provide high-quality patient care and support daily clinical operations.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESInterview patients to gather medical history and update medical recordsGather basic vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, height, weight, and pulsePrepare treatment rooms and patients for examSterilize instruments and set up in-office procedure traysManage medical supplies and materials and work with their operational leader to order necessary inventoryTake x-raysPerform administrative tasks and become cross-trained on front desk responsibilities to provide support when needed.Other duties are to support the physician and team with patient care activities.REQUIREMENTSQUALIFICATIONS/ EDUCATION/ CRITICAL SKILLS2 years in a healthcare position desiredExperience using electronic health recordsHigh school diploma or GED required.Strong verbal and written communication skillsCommitted to continuous performance improvementPatient-focused with the ability to work independentlyCapability to adapt quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environmentBENEFITSMedical, Dental, and Vision PlansHSA with Employer ContributionFSAGenerous PTO Program401k with a 3% MatchEmployee Assistance ProgramLife and AD&D InsuranceShort-Term and Long-Term DisabilityPHYSICAL DEMANDS/ ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORSThis job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of duties or responsibilities required by the employee.
