MCHC is looking for a caring, detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our collaborative primary care team. In this role, you'll support providers in delivering exceptional, patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinical environment. What You'll Do
* Welcome and prepare patients for visits, collecting vital signs and health information
* Assist providers with exams, procedures, and treatments within your scope of practice
* Administer medications and vaccines in accordance with provider orders and within the Medical Assistant scope of practice
* Perform routine tests (such as vision and hearing screenings) and assist with lab specimens
* Maintain accurate documentation using our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
* Help manage prescription refill requests and medication reconciliations
* Provide clear patient education and support as directed by the provider
* Participate in team huddles, trainings, and continuous quality improvement efforts
* Occasionally travel to support other MCHC sites as needed
* Gain experience by cross-training in family medicine, pediatrics, internal medicine, psychiatry, and specialty services

Requirements:
* Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Qualifications
* Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
* At least one year of experience in a clinical setting
* Bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency
