It can be a challenging space to work in.This Clinic is located inside the Meijer Store in Hudsonville. It's really a clinical/clerical role, registration combined with medical assistant duties, small clinic, lower acuity (no procedures or Xray).About Outpatient ClinicsCorewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area.Scope of workAs a Medical Assistant with Corewell Health, you'll be a member of our clinical support team and work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of the best possible care. You'll be a vital part of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients.This Float position will go to all the Urgent Care locations (East Beltline, Alpine, Cutlerville, Zeeland, Wyoming, Rockford, Ada and Grand Haven)QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent RequiredCompletion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program that includes hands-on, in-person clinical skills training OR a minimum of one (1) year of experience working specifically in the role of a Medical Assistant, LPN, Paramedic or EMT performing direct patient care and clinical support functions consistent with MA scope of practice Required1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting PreferredAHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 90 DaysOne of the following Required within 120 DaysAAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA)NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)
