Medical Assistant PositionLocation: Waynesboro, VAWork Shift: First (Days)Overview: The Medical Assistant performs patient care and administrative and clerical related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).Experience: One year of clinical/administrative experience required. Phlebotomy experience preferred.Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.Certification/Licensure: Certification must be received within nine months of employment in one of the following certification programs: CCMA- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant or CMA- Certified Medical Assistant or RMA- Registered Medical Assistant or EMT- Emergency Medical Technician. The base pay range for full-time employment is $20.31 - $29.92 hourly.
