Apply today!Job DetailsCompetitive pay: $28.00 - $29.00 per hourGreat Schedule: Monday - FridayShift Times: 8:00am-5:00pmDuration: 3 monthsStart Date: ASAP!Department: OB/GYN / Women's HealthLocation: Pasadena, CaliforniaBenefitsGreat working locationHealth insuranceRefer-a-friend bonusWeekly payroll24-hour accessibilityPersonalized serviceRequiredHigh School Diploma or GED equivalentMedical Assistant Diploma from DAPIP-accredited programMinimum of 2 years of Medical Assisting experience in outpatient clinic settingOBGYN Medical Assistant experienceEpic ExperienceBLS - Basic Life Support (American Heart Association)Experience obtaining fetal heart tonesProficiency with venipuncture and blood/lab drawsStrong Front and Back office experiencePreferredCMA - Certified Or Registered Medical AssistantExperience with authorization formsExperience with insurance verificationExperience with external fetal monitoring/non-stress testing (NST)ResponsibilitiesRoom patients and prepare patients for examinations and procedures.Obtain and document patient histories, medications, allergies, height, weight, vital signs, and pulse oximetry.Obtain fetal heart tones and support pregnancy related patient care.Perform venipuncture, blood draws, and specimen collection.Perform urine dipstick/urinalysis and blood glucose testing as appropriate.Collect, label, and process urine, vaginal, capillary, and other applicable specimensAdminister medications, injections, and immunizations within scope of practiceSet up and assist providers with OBGYN examinations and procedures, including Pap smears and biopsies.Assist with patient follow up calls, telephone triage, pharmacy calls, and refill requests.Prepare exam rooms and maintain an organized, patient-ready clinical environment.Accurately document clinical information and patient care activities in EPIC.Provide compassionate, professional support to adolescent and adult women throughout their visit.About UsPower Personnel has been working with healthcare professionals like you since 1994.
