Medical AssistantOur busy Dermatology practice is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team!Duties:Utilize Electronic Medical Record systemAssist physicians by performing administrative and clinical dutiesInterview patients to obtain their medical historyRecord patient medical history, vital statistics, and test results in patient medical filesClean and sterilize medical equipment and instrumentsAssist physicians during examination by handing over instruments and materialsClean treatment rooms following patient examinationsDemonstrate a commitment to maintaining work practices that comply with established office policy and proceduresPromote a safe environment for patients, visitors and peersOversee and ensure that patients' needs are met and that patients' are served in an efficient and friendly mannerRespond to staff doctor needs before, during, and after patient examAnswer incoming telephone calls, greet and check in patients in a professional, courteous, and timely mannerQualifications:Excellent computer skillsAbility to work with confidential information and under pressureStrong communication skillsStrong organizational skillsDemonstrates initiativeTeam playerJob Type:Full-Time – Monday-Friday7:30am-5:00pm with an hour lunch M-Thu. Friday 8:00-2:00pmExperience:One year of experience as a medical assistant is preferred. Practice is willing to train.Education:High School Diploma is requiredCertifications/Licenses:Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma or Associate degree preferredPay:Pay starts at $23.00 per hour and increases with years of experience.All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
