Medical BillerDetail-focused AR Specialist handling medical billing, claims follow-up, and collections in a fast-paced healthcare setting.What's in it for you?Elwood Staffing associates are eligible for a comprehensive and competitive benefits package plus an exclusive savings program, including:Medical/Vision/Dental/Rx plansHoliday PayTeladoc (online care)Referral Bonus IncentiveWeekly Pay401kAnd More!Medical Biller Details:Temp-to-Hire position$ 22.00 / hourFull Time work availableFirst Shift (Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm)Receiving and verifying payment information including EOBs and ERAsPreparing and submitting clean claims to various insurance companies and executing claim follow-up with insurance carriers until paid or resolved.Secure necessary medical documentation requested by insurance carriers, patients, and/or legal representationIdentify and resolve patient billing complaintsPreparing, reviewing, and sending patient statementsEvaluating patient's financial status and establishing budget payment plansPerforming various collection actions including contacting patients by phone; correcting and resubmitting claims to third party payersPosting payments from insurance companiesMedical Biller Qualifications:2 years of medical billing/AR experience in the urgent care/primary care settingCertification in billing and coding is a plusProficient in medical billing/collection practiceAbility to work independently as well as part of a departmental teamThe ability to resolve conflicts and possesses problem-solving skillsApplicant may be subject to a background checkPre-employment drug screen (Excluding THC) is required as a condition of employment*A conviction record will not necessarily prevent you from being employed.
