Our client is a Northwell Health affiliated revenue management company. They are searching for an Accounts Receivable Specialist/Medical Biller to join their growing team in Chappaqua, NY .
Compensation: $27.00/hour based on experience
Hybrid Role:
In-office: Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
Remote: Monday and Wednesday (must have your own system with secure Wi-Fi )
Monday- Thursday 9am-5pm, Friday 8am-4pm
As a vital part of the billing operations team, you'll:
Reviews insurance payments for accuracy based on agreed upon fee schedules
Prepares and sends appeals for underpaid or incorrectly denied claims
Makes follow up calls to insurance carriers on outstanding balances
Answers patient telephone calls during business hours
Completes other daily tasks as assigned
What You Bring:
2 years medical billing experience, including filing claim appeals (required)
Strong Medical Billing Preferred
Sharp attention to detail & top-notch organizational skills
Confident verbal and written communication abilities
Self-motivated with the discipline to work independently on remote days
