Billing AssistantCome and join our dynamic team at Peak! We are seeking a full-time Billing Assistant to join our interdisciplinary clinic in Norman, OK. Come join our team as we provide a comprehensive and collaborative approach in helping children with autism and other disabilities. Our clinic includes Psychology, ABA, OT, and Speech services. At Peak, we strive to help children and families reach their highest potential.The Position:Coordinate pre-authorization and ongoing authorization of benefits for BH, SLP and OT departmentsPerform basic clerical duties and data entryProcess SLP and OT intakesFulfill record requestsGather all documentation needed for authorization of servicesCommunicate as needed with insurance sources to ensure proper documentation is maintainedCoordinate with Billing Manager and providers about referrals and authorization statusAssist the Billing Manager in:Manual billing and collection processesCredentialing providersSubmitting electronic claimsManaging denial of claimsBilling secondariesAccounts receivablesMonthly client paymentsPayment postingMaintain all clinical records in accordance with HIPAAMaintain high quality of customer service in writing, by phone and in personExcellent interpersonal skills and professional mannerStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced work environmentProficient in using electronic devices (computer, tablets) for extended amounts of timeCross-training on the following tasks and skills:Obtain pertinent clinical information, demographic information, and verify insurance benefitsServe as the first line of contact for new referralsConduct eligibility and benefit checks.Answer telephone and direct calls to the appropriate staffAssist client with any questions regarding initial appointments or referralsQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in business administration or management preferred2+ years of experience in a healthcare environment (Pediatric therapy preferred)Experience with private health insurance, including intake, benefits, and authorizationExperience working in multi-site clinics is a plusMust have experience using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems (Central Reach experience is preferred)Advanced proficiency in the full Google Workspace suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Meet)Benefits:Competitive Pay ($16-$20/hour)Medical/Dental/Vision insurancePaid Time Off8 Paid HolidaysBe a part of an incredible teamShort-Term Disability Insurance (maternity leave included)401(k) Retirement
