Medical Billing Customer Service RepresentativeEncompass Medical Group is a primary care provider group and is dedicated to only the highest standards of healthcare excellence as exemplified in all five of our offices located throughout the Kansas City metro area.Encompass Medical Group is seeking a full-time Medical Billing Customer Service Representative within our central Billing Department located at our Lenexa administrative office. Join our team and share your skills and talents with a leading provider of healthcare services.***Encompass Medical Group is offering a $500.00 sign-on bonus to ALL new hires who reach the completion of their probationary period AND a $500.00 completion bonus after one full year of service!!!***Working Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm Mon-Fri (2 days per week remote)Position Summary: The Medical Billing Customer Service Representative is responsible for the collection and receipt of patient medical bills through the use of strong customer service skills.Position Accountabilities:Delivers uncompromising customer service to patients regarding their patient account and medical billing inquiries and/or issuesRe-works claims that have been returned for additional informationHandles all incoming patient and insuranceJob Specifications:Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalentMedical billing experience or completion of medical billing coursework preferredMinimum Experience:1 year experience of medical billing/insurance customer service requiredPrevious general medical billing and insurance posting experience preferredExperience working in a professional office settingJob Qualifications:Excellent typing skills10-key experience preferredMedical background preferredStrong customer service background requiredPrior professional working environment experience preferredAble to work well in a team settingPrior EMR experience preferredExcellent communication skillsWorking Conditions/Physical Demands:Some minimal lifting, (less than 10 lbs.), stooping and walkingEncompass Medical Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate against any employee or applicant on the basis of race, creed, color, sex, sexual orientation, age, marital status, physical or mental disability, religion, national origin, military service, or any other protected category.
