Job description

Insurance AnalystOur busy cardiology practice is seeking an experienced Insurance Analyst to join our team in Mobile, Alabama. The ideal candidate will have strong physician office billing and insurance collections experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.This position is responsible for analyzing insurance claims, interpreting explanation of benefits (EOBs), processing adjustments, filing appeals, and communicating with insurance carriers and patients regarding billing matters.This is a full-time, day shift position with no weekends and paid holidays off.Schedule & BenefitsMonday–FridayDay shift onlyNo weekendsPaid holidaysHealth insuranceDental insurancePaid time offPaid sick leave401(k) with company matchLife insuranceAD&D insuranceFlexible spending account (FSA)Free parkingCompetitive compensationResponsibilitiesReview and analyze insurance claims and explanation of benefits (EOBs)Process insurance adjustments and payment postingsFile insurance appeals and resolve denied claimsCommunicate with insurance payers regarding claim status and reimbursementAssist patients with billing questions and insurance inquiriesWork accounts receivable and insurance collectionsMaintain accurate billing documentation and recordsCollaborate with billing, coding, and clinical staff to resolve claim issuesQualificationsMinimum of 4 years of physician office billing and/or insurance collections experience requiredKnowledge of CPT and ICD diagnosis coding preferredExperience with medical billing, claims processing, denials, and appealsStrong understanding of insurance reimbursement processesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesProficiency in Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to multitask and work effectively in a team environmentWork LocationMobile, Alabama – Providence Location
