Medical Billing Customer Service Representative
Encompass Medical Group is a 50-independent physician provider group, the largest in greater Kansas City, and is dedicated to only the highest standards of healthcare excellence as exemplified in all five of our offices located throughout the Kansas City metro area.
Encompass Medical Group is seeking a full-time Medical Billing Customer Service Representative within our central Billing Department located at our Lenexa administrative office. Join our team and share your skills and talents with a leading provider of healthcare services.
Working Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm Mon-Fri (2 days per week remote)
Position Summary: The Medical Billing Customer Service Representative is responsible for the collection and receipt of patient medical bills through the use of strong customer service skills.
Position Accountabilities:
Delivers uncompromising customer service to patients regarding their patient account and medical billing inquiries and/or issues
Re-works claims that have been returned for additional information
Handles all incoming patient and insurance
Job Specifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Medical billing experience or completion of medical billing coursework preferred
Minimum Experience:
1 year experience of medical billing/insurance customer service required
Previous general medical billing and insurance posting experience preferred
Experience working in a professional office setting
Job Qualifications:
Excellent typing skills
10-key experience preferred
Medical background preferred
Strong customer service background required
Prior professional working environment experience preferred
Able to work well in a team setting
Prior EMR experience preferred
Excellent communication skills
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
Some minimal lifting, (less than 10 lbs.), stooping and walking
