We believe that our collective efforts will shape a healthier future for the communities we serve.Position Summary:This position title is Revenue Cycle Analyst, and the basic functions are a Medical Billing Specialist. Duties include but are not limited to, uploading bank files, balancing to a shared (hospital) financial spreadsheet, calling insurances and working assigned claims worklists. A Medical Billing Specialist reconciles and posts all payments received, identifies discrepancies and analyzes issues to ensure payments are posted timely. Manages Athena claims worklists as assigned. Reports to: Patient Financial Services DirectorHow you'll contribute:Responsible for reviewing and maintaining charge description master (CDM), and/other pertinent regulations and policies, ensuring all data elements are accurate and comply with all payor requirements.Excel experience along with medical billing is preferred and a coding background is a plus.Analyzes financial and utilization data to provide decision-making information relating to specific revenue cycle metrics and reimbursement.Reviews and interprets various regulatory billing and coding updates, to remain compliant and accurate to minimize misbilling's.Resolves issues that arise from information submitted and revenue cycle issues.Provides validation reviews, audits, documentation and training for the area of knowledge, sharing information with Finance, Medical Records and other revenue producing areas or departments.Works closely with the lab to ensure all necessary late charges are applied to the accurate account.Perform other duties as assigned.What we offer:Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans, plus flexible-spending and health-savings accountsCompetitive paid time off and extended illness bank package for full-time employeesIncome-protection programs, such as life, accident, critical-injury insurance, short- and long-term disability, and identity theft coverageTuition reimbursement, loan assistance, and 401(k) matchingEmployee assistance program including mental, physical, and financial wellnessProfessional development and growth opportunitiesQualifications and requirements:High School graduate or equivalentMinimum Work Experience At least 5 years of in Finance or Billing requiredRequired SkillsA. Basic computer skillsB.
