This role focuses on insurance claim management, denial resolution, and tracking reimbursement patterns to ensure claims are processed correctly and promptly.You will work closely with insurance companies, internal departments, and the broader business office team to resolve billing issues, analyze claim trends, and ensure compliance with healthcare billing standards. Your work directly supports the financial sustainability of our clinics and helps ensure patients receive uninterrupted care.What You'll Love About This RoleYou get to solve complex billing challenges. No weekends or holidays means predictable work-life balance.Day-to-Day ResponsibilitiesClaims ManagementContact insurance companies to verify claim status and request reprocessing when neededSubmit and track insurance appeals and corrected claimsReview and analyze aging reports to resolve outstanding claimsDenial Analysis & ResolutionInvestigate insurance denials and determine appropriate corrective actionIdentify denial patterns and report trends to improve billing processesCoordinate with internal staff to resolve billing discrepanciesBilling OperationsPrepare, audit, and submit claims to primary and secondary payersEnsure accurate payment postings and balance allocationsAdjust claims according to established billing proceduresCommunication & ComplianceParticipate in business office phone rotations to support inquiries from patients and external partnersMaintain strict compliance with HIPAA when handling patient financial informationDocument all account activity and claim updates thoroughly in billing systemsWhat You'll Need to SucceedMinimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDMinimum 1 year of healthcare experienceMinimum 1 year of experience processing health insurance claimsRequired Knowledge & SkillsUnderstanding of CMS-1500 claim forms, coordination of benefits (COB), PHI, and medical terminologyExperience using insurance payer websites to verify eligibility and claim statusStrong organizational and time-management skillsDetail-oriented with a high commitment to accuracyStrong communication skills for working with insurance companies and internal teamsWork EnvironmentSchedule: Full-timeShift: Monday–FridayLocation: Fully remote (must reside in Washington State at the time of hire)Department: Business Office / Revenue Cycle OperationsPay & BenefitsCardiac Study Center / Pulse Heart Institute offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:Medical, dental, and vision coverageRetirement benefitsPaid time offCompetitive compensationTuition AssistancePay Range: $19.67 – $35.67/hourCompensation is determined based on experience, skills, certifications, and education, consistent with internal equity and pay transparency requirements.Join Our TeamIf you're detail-oriented, analytical, and enjoy working behind the scenes to ensure healthcare operations run smoothly, we'd love to hear from you.
