Medical Device Assembly TechnicianKelly Engineering is hiring a Medical Device Assembly Technician for a long-term contract at a premier medical device company. Our client is well-known as one of the largest and most innovative medical device and optical solutions companies in the world today. This location specializes in equipment used in optometry. Electro-Mechanical Assembler Technician -Intermediate Preference: experience working with medical devices, RMAs, and investigation documentation. Contract assignments for up to 12 months, with extensions possible Job Summary RMA, troubleshoot, investigate, and document electromechanical medical devices.This role emphasizes hands-on electromechanical work, strong Microsoft Office proficiency, and preferred experience using the MDSR Salesforce application for device safety/case trackingStrong investigation writing skills neededAssignment ObjectivesSupport production and RMAComplete accurate build and test records to enable timely release and transfer of work.Provide reliable, well-documented troubleshooting, investigation and RMA.Key ResponsibilitiesAssemble, wire, and mechanically fit electromechanical components per drawings and instructions.RMA, troubleshooting and investigation documentation along with verification and calibration using bench instruments, multimeter, oscilloscope, power suppliesLog safety events/cases and maintain case status in MDSR Salesforce preferredCreate and maintain build/test records, deviation reports, and basic data summaries using Microsoft OfficeDiagnose and repair electrical/electromechanical faults, document corrective actions.Support first article builds, production runs, or process validation activities as assigned.Follow change control, nonconformance handling, and quality procedures.Provide clear handover documentation and status at assignment completion.Required QualificationsRMA, troubleshooting and investigation documentationAssociate degree, technical diploma, or equivalent hands-on experience in Electromechanical Technology, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field.2-3 years hands-on experience in assembly, test, or repair of electromechanical or electronic products; medical device experienceSoldering, wiring, crimping, and mechanical fasteningComfortable using a multimeter, oscilloscope, and basic bench equipment.Proficient with Microsoft Office: Excel: data entry, formulas, PivotTables, charts; basic lookup functions.Word/PowerPoint: preparing technical notes and concise presentations. Outlook/Teams/SharePoint: communication and document control.Strong attention to documentation and ability to follow written procedures.Ability to read basic electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.Important information : Applicants must be legally permitted to work in the United States immediately and without employer sponsorship
