Job Overview
South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus featuring the new 11‑floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital. In this role, you will serve as the direct supervisor of Adult Primary Care, Geriatrics, Same Day, Weight Management, and IDA G Family Medicine departments, provide clinical guidance, oversee performance evaluations, and deliver direct patient care while preceping residents.
Responsibilities
Serve as the direct supervisor, provide clinical guidance, and complete performance evaluations for clinical staff.
Direct, evaluate, and supervise all aspects of Adult Primary Care, Geriatrics, Same Day, Weight Management, and IDA G Family Medicine departments.
Provide direct patient care and precept Internal Medicine residents.
Collaborate with Medicine Residency Program Directors to ensure optimal continuity clinic experience for residents.
Develop and lead departmental performance improvement activities.
Coordinate closely with ambulatory nursing and administrative leadership.
Participate in weekly departmental operations and committee meetings.
Qualifications
Board Certification in Internal Medicine.
Active or eligible for a New York State Medical License.
Valid DEA registration.
Minimum 3 years of practice in adult primary care with demonstrated leadership in performance/quality improvement initiatives and/or clinical staff oversight.
Experience precepting Internal Medicine residents preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
Annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $331,610** and includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, and other factors as set forth below.
401(k) – Company matches 3% immediately vested; 7% after one year of service.
Projected bonus up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) reimbursement.
