Job description
Northwell Health is seeking accomplished, Board-Certified MD or DO Physicians for the pivotal roles of Medical Director or Assistant Medical Director of Blood Bank and Transfusion Medicine within its Central region.
Required qualifications
American Board of Pathology (ABP) certification/eligibility in Clinical Pathology.
Accredited fellowship training in Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine with ABP certification/eligibility in Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine.
A valid, unrestricted New York State Medical License.
A Certificate of Qualification in Transfusion Services (details available at:
The ideal candidate for the Medical Director position will possess robust experience specifically in Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine, complemented by demonstrated leadership capabilities and strong teamwork abilities. New graduates with exceptional leadership potential will be considered for the position of Assistant Medical Director.
