Medical Director, Academic Outpatient Clinic opening in Bridgeport, CT Full-Time Weekdays Only Academic Internal MedicineAn academic outpatient clinic in Bridgeport, Connecticut is seeking a Board Certified Internal Medicine Physician to serve as Medical Director and lead a resident-focused ambulatory clinic environment.Opportunity Highlights:Full-time Medical Director opportunity
Academic outpatient clinic-based setting
Weekdays-only schedule
Phone call only for backup coverage
Lead an academic outpatient clinic in partnership with an FQHC-affiliated care model
Guide the outpatient ambulatory curriculum
Provide oversight for clinic faculty attendings
Teach residents, medical students, and other learners
Coordinate resident evaluations in the clinic
Maintain primary care provider assignments
Support a stimulating learning environment for residents and students
Opportunity to support scholarly activity and academic development
Work with an Internal Medicine residency program that trains categorical and preliminary residents

Candidate Requirements:MD or DO
Board Certified in Internal Medicine
Connecticut medical license or eligibility
Minimum of 5 years of academic experience
Eligible for faculty appointment with an affiliated medical school
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Interest in resident education, ambulatory curriculum development, faculty oversight, and academic clinic leadership
