Medical Insurance Verification SpecialistSan Antonio, TX 78258Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Medical Insurance Verification Specialist to join a specialty medical clinic in the Stone Oak area of San Antonio. In this role, you will verify insurance eligibility, benefits, referrals, and coverage requirements to support accurate medical billing and a positive patient experience. The ideal candidate has experience with insurance verification, medical billing, and communicating with insurance carriers and patients. Pay Range: $16.00-$18.00 per hour, depending on experienceSchedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday office hours (No weekends)Location: On-site, Stone Oak area of San Antonio, TXBenefits: Weekly pay via direct deposit or pay card; Medical, Dental, Vision, and additional benefit options availableMedical Insurance Verification Specialist Duties:Verify patient insurance eligibility, benefits, coverage levels, and policy information prior to servicesCommunicate with insurance carriers to confirm coverage requirements for procedures, treatments, and specialty servicesEducate patients regarding insurance benefits, deductibles, copays, coinsurance, and out-of-pocket expensesObtain required referrals, authorizations, and supporting documentation to facilitate patient care and reimbursementProcess payments for non-covered services and assist patients with financial responsibility questionsMaintain accurate patient records, insurance documentation, and verification notes within the practice management systemEnsure compliance with insurance guidelines, clinic procedures, and healthcare documentation standardsMedical Insurance Verification Specialist Requirements: Required:Verify patient insurance eligibility, benefits, coverage levels, and policy information prior to servicesCommunicate with insurance carriers to confirm coverage requirements for procedures, treatments, and specialty servicesEducate patients regarding insurance benefits, deductibles, copays, coinsurance, and out-of-pocket expensesObtain required referrals, authorizations, and supporting documentation to facilitate patient care and reimbursementProcess payments for non-covered services and assist patients with financial responsibility questionsMaintain accurate patient records, insurance documentation, and verification notes within the practice management systemEnsure compliance with insurance guidelines, clinic procedures, and healthcare documentation standardsPreferred:2+ years of medical billing experienceExperience obtaining referrals and insurance authorizationsFamiliarity with medical terminology and healthcare documentationPrevious experience working directly with insurance companies and healthcare providersWhy This Opportunity Stands Out:Join a respected specialty medical clinic serving patients in the growing Stone Oak areaStable Monday-Friday schedule with no weekend work requiredOpportunity to utilize your insurance verification and medical billing expertise in a patient-focused healthcare environment
