Astria Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team! This position is located at our Astria Toppenish Hospital in the Laboratory Department.

What you get to do every day!
As the Medical Laboratory Technician/Technologist, you will be responsible to p erforms assays accurately and timely on patient samples utilizing a variety of automated and manual testing procedures to aid the provider in patient diagnosis and treatment.
Capable of performing pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical duties including specimen evaluation, data analysis and instrument maintenance and problem solving.
Responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of laboratory test results with minimal supervision.
Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, safety, environmental and infections control standards, so the laboratory remains in compliance with accreditation and licensing agencies.
Able to recognize problems, identify the cause and make simple corrections by using preset strategies
Performs other duties as assigned
Collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries.
Adheres to the core values and standards of the organization.
RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory/medical technology or - Associate degree in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology or -
Successful completion of an official U.S. military medical laboratory procedures training course of at least 50 weeks duration and having held the military enlisted occupational specialty of Medical Laboratory Specialist (Laboratory Technician)
National certification from ASCP or AMT.
Oral and written fluency in the English language.
