Medical Office AssociateThe Medical Office Associate performs a variety of clinical activities, under direction of a Physician or Registered Nurse, and administrative and clerical duties to support the effective and efficient operations of the Clinic.High School Graduate or GED Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant Program Licensed by New York State Department of Education Successful completion of a course in billing Direct patient care experience Previous experience in and knowledge of clinic operations, patient registration/scheduling Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Must speak English proficiently. Legible handwriting Moderate to strong data processing, computer and typing skills. Computer data entry Ability to meet public, communicate clearly on the telephone, interact with patients, staff and other hospital departments Ability to document and retrieve information from the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
