Per Diem Medical Office Associate IAtlantic Health System is seeking a Per Diem Medical Office Associate I at Hackettstown Medical Center. Required hours are weekdays from 8:00AM-4:00PM. Starting rate $20.05/hr. Essential Function/Responsibilities:Manages phones.Greets patients.Schedules/confirms appointments.Enters demographics & patient information.Verifies insurance coverage, complete forms, collect co-pays.Balances cash.Maintains schedule in EMR system, and processes pre-certs/authorizations & referrals as well as medical records releases.Other related duties as assignedQualifications/Requirements:HS Diploma or GED/Equivalent required.To provide a safe environment to our patients, we require that all candidates must be able to read, write and speak English.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Knowledge of computerized scheduling & EMR system a plus.Individual must be customer and employee focused, must have demonstrated ability to multi-task.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.Relevant Experience:Prior administrative experience in a physician practice strongly preferred.About UsAt Atlantic Health, our promise to our communities is; anyone who enters one of our facilities will receive the highest quality care delivered at the right time, at the right place, and at the right cost.
