Medical Payment Analyst
The Orthopedic Institute of New Jersey is looking for a Medical Payment Analyst for a full-time position immediately.
Position Summary:
Posts insurance and patient payments into practice Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system in a timely and accurate manner. Runs daily transaction reports to ensure accuracy of batch totals. Identifies any payments not being paid at the allowed/contracted amount and communicates this to the appropriate billing representative. Properly documents payment denials in the practice EMR and communicates to the appropriate billing representative in a timely manner. Verifies all EFT, Lockbox, Credit Card deposits have been posted by month end deadline demonstrating good time management, communication, and teamwork. Possesses a friendly demeanor and greets patients in a manner that is warm and friendly. Other responsibilities assigned by manager as needed.
Requirements:
Minimum of one-year orthopedic medical payment posting experience. Knowledge in Medent EMR a plus. PC Skills including MS Office, Insurance Internet Websites (Navinet, Emdeon, Optum, et al). Understanding of EOBs, ERAs, Denials and Contracted Fee Schedules. CPT and ICD Knowledge. Medical Insurance background (Commercial, Government, Workers Comp and MVAs). HIPPA Compliant. Works well independently and with a team. Detail Oriented and Ability to Multi-Task.
