Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Scribe to support physicians by documenting patient encounters in real time and maintaining accurate electronic health records. This role also assists with appointment scheduling and patient follow-up to keep clinical operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Document patient histories, examination findings, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions during physician visits.
Enter physician orders for medications, lab work, imaging, and other services.
Maintain complete and accurate electronic medical records.
Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, including follow-ups and waitlist openings.
Contact patients about earlier appointment availability and document scheduling issues.
Protect confidential patient information and follow privacy requirements.
Support physicians and clinical staff with additional administrative duties.
Qualifications
Required
High school diploma or GED.
Strong written communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accurate documentation abilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar software.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
At least one year of medical scribe experience or related training or experience.
