Medical Supply Delivery And Installation Technician, Depot OperationsHelp patients receive hospital-level care in the comfort of their homes. As a Cardinal Health VelocareTM Technician, you'll deliver and set up critical medical equipment and technology, interact directly with patients and caregivers, and play an essential role in helping health systems provide advanced care at home.This role is ideal for candidates looking to make a difference in patient's lives, consistently show compassion to patients and coworkers, possess basic technology skills (such as pairing Bluetooth devices), are comfortable driving, and can safely move medical equipment and supplies.ResponsibilitiesShow empathy and compassion for customers/patients in every situationDeliver medical equipment using company transit van (non-CDL) to patient's homes and hospital customer locationsLoad and unload products and equipment to and from company vehicles that remain on-site when not in usePerform minor technical installation and de-installation in the home (examples: tablet setup, bluetooth pairing) and troubleshoot technology in the home as the customer requiresMaintain vehicles in proper working condition and cleanlinessUtilize company phones for order management, navigation, and inventory updatesHold self and associates accountable for conducting work in a safe mannerEnsure quality service is provided to customers and ensure prompt follow-through on customer correspondence, complaints and/or inquiriesConduct durable medical equipment cleaning procedures at the DepotWill satisfactorily complete training and be responsible for Cardinal Health compliance and regulations concerning OSHA, DEA, FDA, State and local authoritiesNo healthcare experience necessary – paid training providedQualificationsHigh school diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferredMust hold a valid driver's license and have a good driving recordCompany vehicle provided, no CDL requiredAbility to safely move equipment weighing up to 75 pounds with appropriate lifting techniques and equipmentComfortable driving in all weather conditions during day or evening hoursAbility to sit, stand, be mobile and operate a vehicle for extended periods of timeStrong customer service and communication skillsFlexibility to work various shifts or optional overtime as neededAbility to use phones and tablets, and conduct minor technology installation and troubleshootingSubject to customer requirements, fitting for use of a respirator (such as an N-95 mask), and vaccinations (including Influenza, MMR and Hepatitis B) or a legitimate accommodation, will be required.What is expected of you and others at this levelApplies knowledge and company policies to complete a variety of tasksDemonstrates a working knowledge of jobs outside area of responsibilityMaintains appropriate licenses, training and certificationsWorks on assignments that are moderately difficult requiring judgment in resolving issuesMay assist in recommendation of processes on new assignmentsAdheres to all quality guidelinesWorks with limited supervision.Work occasionally involves review of output by work lead or supervisorMay provide general guidance or technical assistance to less experienced team membersShift/Schedule :36 to 40 hours weeklyShift schedule is 4 to 5 days per week, including at least 1 weekend day each weekShifts are scheduled in advance as often as possible across the Depot Team, and will include weekends (will include opportunities to provide coverage beyond normally scheduled hours as available)Shift hours can start as early as 7am and generally end between 7pm and 9pm on weekdays, and start as early as 8am and end between 6pm to 8pm on weekends and holidays, (subject to changes as required by the hospital customer)Location: 100 Raritan Center Parkway, Edison, NJ 08837Pay rate: $22.50 per hourBonus eligible: NoBenefits: Cardinal Health offers a wide variety of benefits and programs to support health and well-being.Medical, dental and vision coveragePaid time off planHealth savings account (HSA)401k savings planAccess to wages before pay day with myFlexPayFlexible spending accounts (FSAs)Short- and long-term disability coverageWork-Life resourcesPaid parental leaveHealthy lifestyle programsApplication window anticipated to close: 10/02/2026 *if interested in opportunity, please submit application as soon as possible.Candidates who are back-to-work, people with disabilities, without a college degree, and Veterans are encouraged to apply.Cardinal Health supports an inclusive workplace that values diversity of thought, experience and background.
