Responsibilities
Serve as the Occupational Health Clinic's main point of contact with the Human Resources Departments.
Provide assistance to professional staff on retrieving data for research and diagnostic purposes.
Provide information on retrieval of data through the computer or other means to medical staff as necessary.
Audit all completed Pre-Employment, Worker Skills Progression Program paperwork daily.
Track required lab and x-ray results for Occupational Health Clinic providers.
Act as the Occupational Health Clinic point of contact to shop supervisors for all civilian medical surveillance questions, including qualifications and operating license issues.
Responsible for tracking all consult requests for outside medical documentation as requested by Occupational Health Providers.
Coordinate all specialty physicals performed in the Occupational Health Clinic.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Additional information about transcripts is in this document Basic Requirement for a Medical Support Assistant: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing administrative support in a medical setting, utilizing health systems for data entry, and coordinating patient appointments. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04). OR Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. (You MUST submit a copy of your transcript with your application package or you will be rated ineligible.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages.
