Shift: 5:30 PM - 6:00 AM
Experience:
• 3 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 2 years of Medical Surgical Float Pool experience.
• Travel experience is required.
• 3 months of Epic experience is required with any experience within the last 12 months.
• ADN completion required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.
Pre-employment modules may be required for this role. Please upload any certifications or health documents you have to your profile to expedite your on-boarding process.
Additional Details:
An interview with the unit manager may not be available prior to offer. If you do not interview with the unit manager, you may interview with a third-party clinical nurse manager.
Required Credentials: Associate degree or certificate.
Preferred Skills/Experience: 1 travel contract strongly preferred. Pre/post cath, post-pacemaker, and TR Band experience strongly preferred.
Special Requests: If a candidate has NP licensure, ThedaCare will only consider them for an NP role, not a lower position. Any missed shift must be made up within 2 weeks of the absence.
Unit Details: Primary cases across facilities include medical/surgical, general surgical, oncology, renal, CIWA, CHF, COPD, stroke, surgical trauma and ortho, and DKA. May care for cardiac pre/post, heart cath, pacemaker, post-TNK, and neurosurgery patients. Pediatric patients are rare. RNs are paired with support staff (LPN/CNA) based on acuity.
Shift & Scheduling: Up to every other weekend; every weekend availability may be considered. Holiday rotation as needed. No call or call back. Scheduled hours may be reduced during orientation week and during holidays when the unit is closed.
Floating Requirements: Will float throughout all Med/Surg units at ThedaCare Appleton and ThedaCare Neenah; may float to all ThedaCare facilities as needed, primarily Appleton and Neenah, and must be open to smaller locations as needed. Assignment will be based on skillset and staffing needs; travelers will only take patients within their skillset.
9 days maximum time off
1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 3 years
1 Manager reference required from within the last 12 months
Proof of identification required

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
