Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical-Surgical
Location: Utica, NY 13502
Job Type: 13-Week Contract
Shift: Nights, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Pay:
$55 - $65/hour, based on applicable local/travel pay structure
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical-Surgical assignment in Utica, NY. The RN will provide direct patient care to adult Medical-Surgical patients in a hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult Medical-Surgical patients.
Assess patients, administer medications and treatments, and monitor clinical conditions.
Provide post-operative care and monitor patient recovery.
Manage IV pumps, NG tubes, and feeding tubes .
Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Document patient care accurately in EPIC EMR .
Float to other units as required by facility needs.
Follow facility policies, safety standards, and clinical protocols.
Required Qualifications
Active New York RN license .
2+ years of Medical-Surgical RN experience .
Current AHA BLS certification .
EPIC EMR experience .
Ability to work the scheduled night shift .
Willingness to float to other units as required .
Ability to commit to the full 13-week contract assignment .
