Job description
Jobot is seeking an IMC Medical Surgical Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, evidence-based care to adult patients in a fast-paced inpatient setting. In this role, you will perform comprehensive assessments, manage complex med-surg conditions, and administer medications, IV therapies, and post-op care while documenting thoroughly in the EMR. You’ll collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, educate patients and families, and support safe discharges. Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive medical-surgical nursing care to adult inpatients across varied conditions and acuity levels.
Perform ongoing patient assessment, vital monitoring, and timely documentation in the EMR.
Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments in accordance with provider orders and hospital protocols.
Coordinate with physicians, therapists, and case managers to execute and update individualized care plans.
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions to support safe transitions of care.
Maintain strict adherence to infection control, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Participate in admissions, transfers, and discharges, ensuring accurate handoffs and continuity of care.
Respond promptly to changes in patient condition, escalating concerns and intervening in emergencies.
Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice on the medical-surgical unit.
Mentor and support nursing colleagues and ancillary staff to foster a collaborative care environment.
