Experience:
12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.
Experience with Epic is required.
Requirements:
Candidates must have a New York license (required for submission).
This role may require floating to additional units and locations
Local & travel allowed. Candidates living Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.
Pre-employment modules may be required for this role. Please upload any certifications or health documents you have to your profile to expedite your on-boarding process.
Additional Details:
Lab Completion: All health-related requirements and lab work must be completed within 5 calendar days of signing.You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
Required Skills/Experience:
Must be able to take own patient assignment, with the support of an RN.
Required skills include blood product administration, central line care/management, peripheral line care/management, phlebotomy, PICC line management, and starting/maintaining IVs.
Required skills include high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), nasal cannula, oxygen administration, oxygen tanks, and tracheostomy care/management.
Required skills include feeding tube care/management, heparin protocols, temporary/permanent pacemakers, and on-unit telemetry monitoring.
Required skills include use of rapid response/code teams, isolation precautions, wound care/wound vac, orthopedic trauma, total joint replacements, and surgical drains.
Special Requests:
RTO, block, and special scheduling requests must be submitted upon submission.
Unit Details:
Complex care unit for medicine, orthopedic overflow, and complex long-term patients.
Shift & Scheduling:
Shift hours alternate between 7p-7a and 7a-7p.
Every other weekend.
Must be available to work every other holiday, if needed.
Floating Requirements:
Will be required to float within skillset.
Maximum consecutive days off: 10
2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 2 years
Proof of identification required
