Experience:
• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 22 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.
• Travel experience is preferred.
• Experience with Epic is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living • Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• Anyone who worked at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required Credentials: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
Required Skills/Experience: Interpretation of dysrhythmias. Accessing ports. Arterial line management. Blood product administration. Central line care/management. PICC line management. IV start. Assist with chest tube insertion/removal. High flow nasal cannula (HFNC). Interpretation of ABGs.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Oncology experience preferred but not required. Teaching hospital experience is preferred.
Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population. Continuous cardiac monitoring related to chemotherapy administration. Soft tissue malignancy receiving diagnostic services, chemotherapy, and symptom management. Symptom management secondary to disease-related treatment or progression. Management of comorbidities. Heavy focus on infection prevention and fall prevention. Common diagnoses include breast cancer, lung cancer, prostate cancer, pancreatic cancer, colon cancer, esophageal cancer, sickle cell crises, and encounter for antineoplastic chemotherapy. Uses GE telemetry monitors, bladder scanner, and Alaris pumps.
Shift & Scheduling: 12-hour rotating day/night contract; day shift 07:00 - 19:30 and night shift 19:00 - 07:30. May be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination based on unit needs. Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period, but changes are not guaranteed and are based on staffing priorities at that time. Weekend coverage is variable based on unit needs.
Floating Requirements: Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity, including other MedSurg Oncology units.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW : This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
7 days maximum time off. Start assignment restriction: 7 days
