Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 18 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 18 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 month within the last 12 months.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living • Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Part-Time at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:
Unit Details: Patient population includes small bowel obstructions, general surgery (colectomy, colon/small bowel resections, nephrectomy, hysterectomy, mastectomy, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernia repairs, splenectomy, thyroidectomy), kidney stones, pneumothorax, bariatric surgery, rib fractures, hip fractures, joint replacements, and cellulitis. RN ratios: 1:4-6; surge times could be 1:7-8. Must be comfortable with trach care, chest tube management, PIV starts, NG tubes, ostomy care, drains, wound care, continuous bladder irrigation, tube feeds, and cardiac rhythm interpretation. Uses BD Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell med dispensing, Masimo monitors, and remote telemetry.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. No call. Travelers will work 75% of holidays.
Floating Requirements: Within region and scope of practice. Region 1 includes Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, and Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH (peds only)); could float to any facility within the region if needed. If floating mid-shift, traveler will remain on the clock and be paid for travel time between facilities.
Special Requests: RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays; must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours.

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
