Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Experience:
• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).
• 3 months of Cerner experience is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Arizona license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check.
Required Skills/Experience: Will need to be able to read and interpret telemetry. Must be willing to care for both MST/PCU patients. Must be willing to precept nursing students.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience in telemetry preferred.
Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Submission Limit: Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Candidates may not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity, within the past year.
Unit Details: Patient population includes surgical cases (total hip and knee replacement, small bowel resection, hysterectomy, and exploratory lap), medical cases (MRSA, C-diff infections, suicide attempt, drug or alcohol withdrawal, COPD, pneumonia, and COVID), and telemetry patients with chest pain. Patient ratios are 1:5-6. Nursing assistants take 10-15 patients; when no nursing assistant is available, the RN takes 3 patients and provides primary care. The unit cares for stable CPAP or BiPAP patients.
Shift & Scheduling: Night-shift staff work every other weekend, Friday and Saturday. Holiday rotation distributes holidays fairly. If low census, staff rotates standby turns. Travelers may or may not be in rotation for low census depending on contract.
Floating Requirements: The clinician is first to float. Float into the Multi Care Unit and Pediatric unit to care for adult MST patients, and also float to the West Campus Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit.
Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days
2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months
Driver’s license required for submission
