Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 18 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 18 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 month within the last 12 months.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Part-Time at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: Cardiac rhythm interpretation, experience with non-titrating cardiac drips (Cardizem/Amiodarone), wound care, drain/tube management, PIV starts, and central line management.
Special Requests: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays; must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours.
Unit Details: Patient population includes total joint replacements, colon resections, gallbladder, appendectomy, amputations, medical overflow, hip fractures, SBO, and NG tubes. RN ratios: Days 1:4-6; Nights 1:5-6; in surge staffing could see ratios of up to 1:7-8. Uses Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell, and Phillips monitors. Support resources include CNA support for vital signs, baths, mobility, turning, and blood sugars; receptionist/HUC support; charge nurse resource support; phlebotomy (other than nurse draws); IV/VAT team; RT 24/7; hospitalist 24/7; intensivist 24/7; telemetry monitoring/tech.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Possibility of low census call. Can be called back up to 3a for Nights and up to 3p for Days. Travelers will work 75% of holidays. Night shift times: . Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks.
Floating Requirements: Within region and scope of practice. Required to float per region needs to Region 3 - Cleveland, Kings Mtn, Lincoln, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH), as needed, within scope of practice. If floating mid-shift, traveler will remain on the clock while traveling between facilities.
6 days maximum time off
1 Manager reference required from within the last 12 months
1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
