Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 18 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 18 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 month within the last 12 months.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living • Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Part-Time at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: Basic Med/Tele skillset: cardiac rhythm interpretation, experience with non-titrating cardiac drips (Cardizem/Amiodarone), wound care, drain/tube management, PIV starts, central line management.
Special Requests: Up to 6 days off may be approved, excluding holidays; time must be added to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours.
Unit Details: Patient population includes stroke, respiratory illnesses (flu, pneumonia, COVID), renal failure, peritoneal dialysis, and wounds. RN ratios 1:5-6; surge staffing could have ratios of 1:7-8. CNA support for ADLs, mobility, and feeding; no HUC. Charge nurse may or may not have a patient assignment. Phlebotomy, IV/VAT team, telemetry monitoring/tech, RT, hospitalist, and intensivist support available 24/7. Virtual nursing (10 cameras); virtual RNs can act as a 2nd RN witness for certain meds, closely monitor patients requiring special monitoring, and assist with admission/discharge tasks.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Possibility of low census call. Can be called back up to 3a for nights and up to 3p for days. Travelers will work 75% of holidays. Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks.
Floating Requirements: Float within Region 3 as needed and within scope of practice: Cleveland, Kings Mtn, Lincoln, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH).

1 Manager reference required from within the last 12 months
1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
