Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Experience:
• 18 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 month within the last 12 months.
• Experience with Epic is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Part-Time at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: - 2 years experience as RN Telemetry - Must have charge nurse experience and be willing and comfortable performing charge duties. - High acuity experience required. - Required skills: wound care, surgical/post-op care, IV starts, rhythm strip interpretation, central line management, blood draws, chest tubes, drains, wound vacs, PEG tubes, tube feedings, TPN, trach care/tracheostomy management, and ventilator patient care. - Must be able to titrate Cardizem, heparin, and insulin drips. - Vent experience required; travelers must be comfortable caring for vented patients before arrival.
Preferred Skills/Experience: - 1-2 years of ICU experience preferred.
Unit Details: - Patient population includes COPD, chest pain, post-cardiac cath patients, COVID, diabetes, cellulitis, chronic trachs, wounds, heart failure, vented patients, and surgical patients. - Surgical cases include laparoscopic procedures; no major surgeries. - Travelers will care for vented patients; RNs manage the patient while RT manages the vent. - Uses Alaris, Pyxis, and GE monitors. - RN ratios: days/eves 1:4-5; nights 1:6-7. - Tech ratios: days 1:6; nights 1:8.
Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend rotation. - On-call: none. - One holiday per contract. - All staff, including travelers, may not work more than 60 hours in a week or 5 consecutive 12-hour shifts.
Floating Requirements: - Float to all other med-surg units and ED holding; ED holding ratio is 1:4. - Travelers are first to float.
14 days maximum time off
1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
1 Manager reference required from within the last 12 months
Proof of identification required
