Job description

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.
• Experience with Epic is required within the last 12 months.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Iowa license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living • COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• Anyone currently working at this facility cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:
Unit Details: Adult and geriatric medical/surgical and telemetry patients. Telemetry ratios are currently 1:4 on days and 1:5 on nights. Med/Surg ratios are currently 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights.
Shift & Scheduling: Possibility of overtime. Every other weekend rotation. Not part of a regular call rotation; may occasionally be placed on call during periods of low census. If called in, must be able to respond and arrive on-site within one hour.
Floating Requirements: May be required to float to Fort Madison or Henry County campus. Floating is required to other non-critical care inpatient units, including the Emergency Department if there are boarded patients. Travelers with critical care experience may occasionally float to CCU.
14 days maximum time off
2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) or the alternative certification MAB
• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
