Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with any experience within the last 36 months (3 years).
• Experience with Epic is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:
Preferred Skills/Experience: Teaching hospital experience is preferred. Community hospital experience is preferred. Epic experience is required, with experience within the past 12 months preferred.
Special Requests: You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population. Care for general care and select IMC patients with a wide variety of medical and surgical diagnoses. Medical cases include pneumonia, diabetes, infection, hypertension, chest pain, heart failure, falls, failure to thrive, placement/guardianship, and alcohol withdrawal. Surgical cases include hip, knee, and shoulder joint procedures, neurospine, bariatric, laparoscopic cholecystectomy, hernia, and endocrine cases. Equipment includes CPM devices, wound VACs, lifts, and Polar Care devices. Drips include insulin, heparin, and PCA; nurses will care for these patients. RNs read their own telemetry strips. The unit is fast-paced, with many admissions and discharges each day. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and lead practice changes.
Shift & Scheduling: Day/evening schedule. Weekend rotation (up to 3 weekends per 6-week schedule period) and holiday rotations based on operational need.
Floating Requirements: Float to EMH IP and UH IP.
14 days maximum time off
1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
