Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).
• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).
• Travel experience is preferred.
• Experience with Cerner is required.
Requirements:

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to. Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility.
Special Requests: Must take full 6 months off from any Sanford Health or Good Samaritan Society location as well. Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. If you previously worked for Marshfield, your employment must have ended 6 months before your submission date. No self-scheduling; block scheduling is accommodated to the best of the facility’s ability and is dependent on staffing.
Unit Details: Patient ratios are 1:4-5 on days and 1:5-6 on nights. Patient populations and cases include orthopedic trauma (fractures and joint replacements); vascular cases (fem-pop bypass, carotid endarterectomy, heparin drips, and frequent wound dressing changes); urology (TURP, TURBT, and continuous bladder irrigation); neuro-spine (laminectomy, fusion, and back pain); OBGYN oncology (TAH/OBS); and acute medical admissions. RNs titrate drips following a prescribed nomogram. Common titratable and/or set-rate drips include heparin and, occasionally, nitro, bivalirudin, Cardizem, and insulin. Telemetry technicians monitor the monitors 24/7, and RNs do not need to read strips. During , RNs have different responsibilities for vital signs and ADLs than the day-shift model. Equipment includes CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen therapy; the unit does not use ventilators, and respiratory therapy support is present.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Every other holiday. No call.
Floating Requirements: Float required to other adult medical/surgical nursing units.
14 days maximum time off
2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months
Driver’s license required for submission
