Job description

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Experience:
• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 2 years of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 9 months within the last 12 months.
• 3 months of Meditech experience is preferred.
• 9 months of acute care experience with 9 months within the last 12 months.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Tennessee license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• Staff, Part-Time, and Per Diem employees currently working at this health system cannot be submitted.
Pre-employment modules may be required for this role. Please upload any certifications or health documents you have to your profile to expedite your on-boarding process.
Additional Details:
Preferred Skills/Experience: Start IVs. Basic wound care. Maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes.
Special Requests: Any special scheduling requests must be made with manager upon arrival at facility.
Unit Details: 3rd floor Neuro Med/Surg unit. Tech support available on day and night shifts; unit secretary 7:00 AM-7:00 PM. Uses IV pumps, telemetry, SCDs, continuous pulse ox machines, feeding pumps, PCA, EKG machines, bladder scanner, and iMobile communication technology.
Shift & Scheduling: 2 weekends (4 shifts) per 4-week schedule.
Floating Requirements: Contract labor is first to float; rotation is used when multiple contract labor staff are scheduled.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW : This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
