Job description

Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 2 years of Medical Surgical Unit experience.
• Diploma completion required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Louisiana license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >65 miles from facility to be submitted.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.
• Anyone currently working at this facility cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:
Preferred Credentials: Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred. Certification in a clinical specialty area preferred.
Unit Details: Routine duties require exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissue. The role involves working in a patient-care area, directly with patients, and/or with specimens that could contain communicable diseases, creating occupational risk of exposure to all communicable diseases. Because the role is in a healthcare setting, there may be occupational risk of exposure to hazardous medications or hazardous waste during receipt, transport, storage, preparation, dispensing, administration, cleaning, and/or disposal of contaminated waste; the risk level may increase depending on the essential job duties.
14 days maximum time off
2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 2 years
Proof of identification required for submission
