Job description

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 2 years of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 9 months within the last 12 months.
• 3 months of Meditech experience is preferred.
• 9 months of acute care experience with 9 months within the last 12 months.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Tennessee license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• Staff, Part-Time, and Per Diem employees currently working at this health system cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:
Preferred Skills/Experience: General care and maintenance of wounds, tracheostomy, ostomy, drains, chest tubes, strokes, and seizures preferred.
Special Requests: Any special scheduling requests must be made with manager upon arrival at facility.
Unit Details: Unit staffing includes a secretary every day and PRN techs. Uses PD cyclers, Welch Allyn VS carts, Hoyer lifts, Broda chairs, and Alaris IV pumps. Bedside shift report. Patient population may at times require dialysis or PCA pumps. Only drip is Heparin. Post-op procedures on unit include amputations, ostomy, drains, chest tubes, oral surgeries, and wound vacs.
Shift & Scheduling: 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week block.
Floating Requirements: Will float over core staff.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW : This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
