Job description

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 2 years of experience with 2 years within the last 48 months (4 years).
• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).
• Travel experience is required.
• Experience with Meditech is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Georgia license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:
References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.
Required Skills/Experience: Must have a minimum of 1 year experience in hospital Med-Surg units.
Unit Details: CNA patient ratio is 12:1. Telemetry monitoring is used on the unit. A hospitalist is in house 24/7. There is no IV team; the PICC team may be consulted if needed. Respiratory therapy support is available 24/7. Common diagnoses/patient types include CHF, COPD, ESRD, pneumonia, renal failure, sickle cell crisis, orthopedic surgery, bariatric surgery, altered mental status (AMS), and sepsis.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend is required. Holidays are required.
Floating Requirements: Floating is occasional.
14 days maximum time off
1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
Driver’s license required for submission
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
